As a continuous cruiser, it’s nice to find a mooring spot with real character and history. Also nice to be away from the main tow paths.
Spent a fair bit of time exploring the old ruins with the new map. There really is something special about the place and all it’s got to tell.
It’s a shame the Navigation Inn is still shut with no landlord, would’ve been nice to have a drink right here. But Whaley Bridge is just down the road and there’s no shortage of decent pubs around there, so we didn’t go without.
Peaceful spot, well worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back!
